FAQ
Common Questions
A few of the questions I hear most often. If yours isn't here, just reach out — I'm happy to talk it through.
Working Together
How does working with you compare to booking online myself?
Booking sites are great at showing you options; they're not there when a flight is cancelled the night before. Working with me you get someone who knows the resorts, cruise lines and destinations first-hand, access to deals and perks through 100+ supplier relationships, and one point of contact who handles the details and fixes things when they go sideways.
Do you charge a fee?
Most of my planning is supported by the suppliers I book with, at no extra cost to you. A service fee applies to flights booked through Aspiring Vacations — I'll always tell you exactly what to expect before anything applies, so there are never surprises.
What types of trips do you plan?
All-inclusive resorts, cruises, couples' getaways and honeymoons, family and group trips, tours and excursions, hotels and rental cars, theme-park resorts and tickets, and business and corporate travel. If it's travel, I can help you plan it.
Planning & Booking
What happens after I first reach out?
It's simple: you contact me and tell me all the details of your dream vacation, I start planning and come back to you with the best deals, and then you pack your bags and get ready for the trip of a lifetime. There's no obligation in that first conversation.
How far in advance should I start planning?
Sooner is better — the best resorts, cabins and dates book up, especially in high season. A few months out is ideal for most trips, and longer for peak-season, honeymoon, or large group travel. That said, I love a good last-minute challenge too.
How do deposits and payment work?
Once we've found the perfect match, a deposit secures your travel. Please note that pricing can fluctuate until a deposit or payment is received, so booking promptly protects the rate we find for you.
While You Travel
Do I need a valid passport?
For most international travel, yes — and your passport should be valid for at least six months beyond your planned return date, which many countries require. If yours is close to expiring, renew it before you travel and I'll help you plan around the timing.
Do you help with travel insurance?
I do, and I recommend it. I'll walk you through sensible options so you're covered for the things that matter — trip cancellation, medical and delays. Declining coverage can put you at risk for higher costs if changes come up. Get in touch and I'll point you the right way.
